Conflicts over natural resources are among the greatest challenges in 21st-century. Natural resources can nonetheless serve as a vehicle for cooperation and peacebuilding in contexts of (post-)conflict if managed in a sustainable and equitable manner. Environmental peacebuilding thus emerges as a new frontier in interdisciplinary studies that offers a framework to understand the positive peacebuilding potential of natural resources.
If you are interested in learning how natural resource management can contribute to cooperation and peacebuilding and how stakeholder interaction processes are set up in post-conflict environments; or you are searching for an opportunity to obtain research experience and find a topic for your master thesis in the context of environmental peacebuilding? Then join the Q-team seminar: Social dimensions of peacebuilding in Post-conflict Colombia: stakeholder communication and cooperation in the context of environmental peacebuilding.
